Alaska

We had a very nice trip up here to Alaska. I was kind of worried about it, because Gloria doesn't always do well traveling. But she was a very good girl, and didn't even fuss at all except for a tiny bit during the last 30 minute flight. She actually slept most of the time. And when she was awake, she really enjoyed looking out the window. Especially when we were landing and taking off. A nice lady sat next to us, and she cooed over Gloria, and held her for awhile. She even bought her a snack pack. :)

It's really nice to be here again, and I've enjoyed seeing my cousins and everyone again. Gloria has fun with the other little kids, although she has been a bit shy for some reason. But she'll get used to everyone eventually.

Here is Heidi and Herb's new house, where I am staying for now.

As you can see, there are still piles of snow around here, but there's alot of bare ground too, and it has been raining, so it's melting quickly. That's Heather and Curt's house through the trees. (I'm over by Heidi and Herb's place.)

Here's a better picture of Heather and Curt's. They've sided it since I was here last.

Yesterday turned out to be nice. It was pretty warm, and the sun was shining, so we went to the park, and drove out to the beach.

Gloria is still on Montana time, that's for sure! She has been waking up early, and getting tired early. But I'm sure she'll adjust eventually. It stays light here for so long now, and even I am having to adjust somewhat, because I wake up in the morning, and it is completely bright outside, so I jump up thinking it's morning, and it's usually only 5:30, or 6:00am. And at night it doesn't seem that late, because it is so light, but it might be 10 or so. Last night I went to bed at 11:00 and it still wasn't completely dark.
