He is Risen!

I know this is a bit late :S....but better late than never, right? :)

Easter has got to be the best time of year, at least for me, because it is the time when we celebrate Christ rising from the dead! What victory! What hope! Nothing is more wonderful. Nothing can bring more excitement and thrill to my heart. Jesus became the conqueror of sin and sickness and even death, that glorious morning when He arose! Hallelujah!

I think as Christians, we ought to focus more and more on the resurrected Christ and the victory of His resurrection, because if that was our focus....wow! Nothing could stop us. Doesn't it just want to make you dance and jump and shout when you really think about it?! What life must emanate from Him! The Lord has conquered the worst enemy of man....death. There is nothing that can stop Him. Nothing that can hold Him. He is all victorious, and all powerful. Even the grave could not hold Him! And He is our God who loves us. We can't lose! Sure, He died, and I am glad that He was willing to do that for us. But even better, He arose! He's alive! Let that be our main thought, because there is nothing that brings more joy and happiness and victory to our hearts and lives than Jesus the resurrected One!

I had a really nice Easter this year. I did a little egg hunt with the girls. (Gloria and my sister, Hannah.) Not that I'm into the Easter bunny. I don't want anything to do with that. But I do want to teach Gloria that Easter is a time for celebration, because of Jesus. They had a lot of fun. Gloria's walking now, and so she toddled around out there, and had a great time. I think she was more interested in the grass though, then the eggs. :) She loved the candy though. But what kid doesn't?

It was also really nice having my brother David home from college. He was on spring break, and so he got to stay for a whole week. It was good to be able to spend some time with him. Especially since I am going to be going to Alaska mid-May, and he won't be back yet. :(

On Friday night, we went to a big Easter production that a bunch of churches here were putting on. My grandma watched Gloria for me so that I could get in on the whole thing. I thought that was nice of her. My little sister got a bit scared by the crucifixion seen, and was hiding her face in my mom's shirt for a bit. They did such a good job of making it real.

Sunday night we went to our little church in Troy. They had a nice service. Well, at least the parts that I got in on were nice. Gloria was jabbering so much that I had to take her out several times, but I guess that's just part of motherhood! :) It's definitely worth it. And I guess, looking on the bright side...she was jabbering and not fussing!! :D

Happy Belated Easter to You! :)
